The Need to Connect and Change
|
This video is an essential call to change the course and purpose of formal education. Sir Ken robinson provides an examination of the reasons why education is being overhauled due to economic and cultural factors. The status quo in education stems from the industrial revolution and the need to categorize children into academic and non-academic ( world of work) streams. The video is a key piece to this project as it speaks to the need to change learning, everyone's learning, so that all of our students can build on their natural curiosity and explore the quickly changing digital and social landscape that will play a large part in their lives. Like our students, leaders need to embrace their natural curiosity and willingness to learn and explore digital learning and leadership.
